What is it?

As the first local chapter of HDAA, the DFW Chapter has three overarching goals:

  1. To extend the HDAA experience to a more local level
  2. To enable a focus on issues specific to Texas and the DFW area when relevant
  3. To foster a strong healthcare analytics network across North Texas

We had 40 people attend. The event, hosted by the University of Texas at Dallas, featured a panel discussion on what it takes to be successful in healthcare analytics, particularly for college students looking to enter the field or early careerists just getting started. While the discussion touched on some of the tools, technologies, and systems used in healthcare analytics, it focused much more on topics such as critical thinking, effective communication, and being a strategic partner with stakeholders. January 28th, 2025: The first in-person event of the DFW Chapter of the Healthcare Data and Analytics Association was a huge success! Thanks to John P. Carter, MBA, MS, FACHE, FACHDMMrugank Dhone, and Matthew K. for contributing to a lively discussion on the future of value-based care and the important role analytics plays in its success.
